I feel priviledged and honoured to have known someone as caring as my Godmother Aunty Kate.
Aunty Kate, you were always there for us and no matter the situation you were, you continuously kept a strong faith in he Lord, as well as shared your faith with us at prayer meetings.
At other gatherings you made sure, that we the children were looked after. We will miss you.
May your soul rest in perfect peace and may God grant you eternal life.. Amen

Can something good be said about death? It Separates friends, families and sows pain, grief and sadness.
The Bible says that death is our great enemy. However, the Bible also gives us hope! John 5: 28, 29 as well as Acts 24:15; indicate that there will be a resurrection of the just and unjust. Psalm 37:29 also promises that the righteous will possess the Earth. Through the pages of the Bible we can acquire knowledge and guidance that help us face the loss of our loved ones…It gives us a sure hope.

Can something good be said about death?
It Separates friends, families and sows pain, grief and sadness.
The Bible says that death is our great enemy.
However, the Bible also gives us hope!

Despite everything I know, I am still in pain |

Despite everything I know, I am still in pain.
We've been taught. We got the revelation. We were warned to stay strong in times like this. But nothing helps.
Wow! I still say "I don't believe it". I just don't know what to say, obviously.
Being there when you left, made it clearer, but still as painful.
Watching you go from the "fighting Kate" to the "peaceful, transfigured Kate" is glorious, but I am still in pain.
Having the faith that you are with our eternal Father, is reassuring, but I am still in pain.
If I feel this pain, what will Mario and Onyinye and Ugonna feel?
Our dear Lord will show you all these messages we are sending you.
So Kate, please, as you enjoy that everlasting peace and joy we know you have now and to eternity, please do not forget Mario and Onyinye and Ugonna when you get to whisper to Jesus and Mary. Let them know you are just in the next room.
I once read that....
Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
You have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
What ever e were to each other, we still are.
We will call you by your old familiar name.
We will speak of you in the easy way we used to.
We will put no sorrow in our tone.
We will laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
We will play, smile, think of you, pray for you.
Your name will be ever the household word that it always was.
It will be spoken without effort.
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should you be out of mind, because you are out of sight?
You are waiting for us, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment, and all will be as it was before.
How we will laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again.

Ngoo, I still can't believe it but it is indeed true, that today you will be laid to rest! Each time I go to your house for the past 6 weeks I feel like you should be the one to open the door and let me in but indeed you're not....and will never again. What a huge blow, what a huge shock! Since words fail me I will not offer many, but I will say this, you will never be forgotten in the hearts of those you love. I will miss your gentle demeanour and your steady friendship, but is well. Good night my dearest.

My deepest condolences. May these few words from the Holy Scriptures bring you comfort in your time of grief...
John 11:32-45
32 And so Mary, when she arrived where Jesus was and caught sight of him, fell at his feet, saying to him: “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33 Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping and the Jews that came with her weeping, groaned in the spirit and became troubled; 34 and he said: “Where have YOU laid him?” They said to him: “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus gave way to tears. 36 Therefore the Jews began to say: “See, what affection he used to have for him!” 37 But some of them said: “Was not this [man] that opened the eyes of the blind man able to prevent this one from dying?”
38 Hence Jesus, after groaning again within himself, came to the memorial tomb. It was, in fact, a cave, and a stone was lying against it.39 Jesus said: “TAKE the stone away.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to him: “Lord, by now he must smell, for it is four days.”40 Jesus said to her: “Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Therefore they took the stone away.
